Java, Node.js, UI Development; NJ

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Work on an in-house built scheduling platform that is being enhanced to support additional use cases, making it a critical component of the organization's infrastructure
• Contribute to the development and expansion of a robust, in-house scheduling platform

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and testing real-world, enterprise applications
• Experience using SVN, Maven, Jenkins, and Sonar as well JavaScript tools such as NodeJS, NPM, Jasmine, Karma
• Experience in performance tuning and code optimization
• Experience using Scrum and following Agile best practices
• Hands-on Java experience, including analysis, design, and testing
• Experience using Spring framework (all modules), Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Test Framework, Spring RESTful services, Transaction Management, Spring Annotations
• Experience developing and consuming web services using SOAP or REST
• Experience using JPA / Hibernate and developing complex queries using native / HQL
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure for a typical web application (web servers, app servers, Configurations etc.)
• Relational database experience with a solid understanding of SQL and modeling concepts
• Hands-on experience with modern container platforms, enhancing skills in scalable and cloud-native application development

Desired skills:

• Solid understanding of JavaScript functional programming concepts, object-oriented techniques, and modern front-end web development standards and best-practices
• Web UI development would be desired. Working experience with UI technologies like HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS
• CSS frameworks like Bootstrap
• Unix shell scripting experience
• Prior experience with ETL tools like Informatica and SSIS
• Skillsets: AutoSys, Hadoop, S3

Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26
