What you will do

Johnson Controls invites you to apply for an internship located in New Freedom, PA. This internship is designed to provide you with a positive work/training experience and challenging objectives. Specific identified internship responsibilities are outlined below.

How you will do it:
  • Assist in Warranty Return Center (WRC) failure analysis review process including RMA receiving and shipping, parts analysis and teardown, report generation, and organization of WRC SharePoint site.
  • Assist in continuously optimizing available WRC work and storage space.
  • Support Total Knowledge Management (TKM) content creation/editing, fueled by frequently requested Product Technical Support (PTS) case topics, to minimize WRC returns.
  • Maintain TKM internal transcript library on PTS SharePoint site.
  • Create monthly Tech Talks and Marketing in Communication (MiC) articles to provide the field with up-to-date information on the current TKM content.
  • Assist Product Technical Support Engineers with Salesforce, email, voicemail, and call-tree product technical support requests from field service technicians.
  • Review and trend data on call tree metrics and develop automated process for data extraction and report or graphical representation using Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.
  • Support direct field requests for information on historical chiller configuration and design operational data.

Duration: This will be a part-time position during the fall and spring semesters and full-time during the summer

What we look for

Required Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
  • Pursuing a degree in engineering
  • Currently at sophomore or higher status
  • 40 hr/week requirement in the summer, 10+ hr/week during each semester
  • U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrates an ability to learn quickly and independently
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) preferred
  • Proficient in MS Suite and associated software
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills required
