Duration: 12-Month W2 Contract initially

Job Overview:

The IT Business Analyst will understand the work processes of assigned business groups, evaluate, and integrate IT products and services to enhance business functions. You will provide technical expertise to ensure efficient design, development, implementation, and support of systems, collaborating closely with programmers to devise effective solutions. Your role includes managing customer satisfaction, communication, problem resolution, and adherence to service level agreements.

You will be responsible for representing IT on various teams, including business area steering teams, quality improvement teams, continuous improvement teams, project implementation teams, and working groups. Additionally, you may participate in the testing and evaluation of new IT solutions and project implementations to understand their impact on assigned business groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consultation & Planning: Advise assigned business groups on IT needs and directions, providing hardware, software, and infrastructure planning. Offer technical and functional advice and direction to support business strategies.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain consistent communication regarding IT products, solutions, and schedules. Establish effective communication methods for planned or emergent IT work.
  • Project Management: Provide project management support for customer IT projects or participate in IT-related projects for business groups.
  • Customer Advocacy: Act as a customer advocate, representing business unit needs and directions to the IT organization.
  • Education & Evaluation: Promote IT education within the assigned business group and participate in the evaluation of new applications. Identify system requirements for planning purposes.
  • Annual & Long-term Planning: Collaborate with business areas for annual and long-term IT investment planning. Coordinate the Application Portfolio Management (APM) process to review the functional and technical health of business applications systematically.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in delivering IT projects.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers, IT management, and team members.
  • Proficiency in resolving complex technical and functional issues with various business products and applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather requirements and develop business cases.
