Overview

The Electric Boat Information Technology End User Services Team is seeking an entry level Endpoint Engineer in support of continuing business transformation, and an expanding workforce. Workplace mobility initiatives and increased security and compliance requirements are driving this growth.

Responsibilities of these roles within EBIT D604 include:
  • Support Endpoint enterprise software while being a technical resource for sustainable and innovative Endpoint challenges and initiatives .
  • Providing technical and administrative IT support for EB end users and coordination of IT service delivery
  • Providing technical guidance and oversight in support of IT service vendor project efforts
  • Interfacing effectively with EB users and management, and contracted IT service providers at all levels
  • Contributing to diverse IT teams to manage assigned tasks within defined budget and schedule
  • Providing business and technical review of new and upgraded software and hardware
  • Investigation of new technologies to deliver effective tools to the Electric Boat workforce
  • Support of IT compliance and IT security requirements and processes

Qualifications

Required:
  • BS degree or higher in one of the following:
    • Computer Science
    • Computer Engineering
    • Applied Mathematics
    • IT
    • Engineering Management
    • CIS (Computer Information Systems)
    • MIS (Management Information Systems)
    • Computer Networks
    • Systems Engineering
    • Software Engineering
  • 1 to 4 years of experience in Information Technology field

Preferred:
  • Experience with Enterprise Software
  • Experience with Application Packaging (LanDesk /SCCM)
  • Experience in networking and wireless a plus
  • Experience with Endpoint management Platforms
  • Experience with maintaining endpoint protection infrastructure
  • Experience in IT Service delivery and ITIL framework a plus
  • Working knowledge of Electric Boat IT business systems is a plus

Skills

  • Knowledge of computer hardware, software and networks
  • Ability to research and propose technical solutions to support business requirements
  • The ability to work independently and as a member of functional work teams
