Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in business, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Alternatively, Associate degree with at least 10 years of direct experience in IT Project Management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT project management, business systems analysis, or deployment/release management, including a minimum of 3 years managing Infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of Project Management practices, Software Development Lifecycle and ServiceNow.
  • Compilation and analysis of desktop inventory data and metrics
  • Expertise in productivity tools such as MS Excel and MS Project
  • Skilled in problem solving, research, quantitative reporting analysis and analytical working techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with the Citrix virtual environment.
  • ServiceNow Release Management
  • Experience with Software Life Cycle (SLC) process including risk and impact assessment for software testing, pilot and production deployments.
  • Experience with Clarity PPM tool
  • Familiarity with Organization Change Management or change management certification.
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical or highly regulated quality environment preferred.

  • Initiate and Plan IT Projects: Works with business and IT management to establish project goals, objectives and deliverables.
  • Project Control: Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues and risks will affect projects working with department, management and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution. Measure performance to assure the project is progressing as compared to original plan and budget
  • Executing and Closing Projects: Develops and executes a work plan obtaining authorized resources to ensure all activities are performed. Gather lessons learned and obtain final project approval from sponsor and stakeholders
  • Project Communication: Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to Project Team and Department manager.
  • Resource and Team Management: Coordinate resources to ensure project needs are addressed and effectively assign tasks and deliverables to team members based upon their abilities.
  • Quality Management: Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
  • Decisions: Make decisions that impact project level activities. Influence project level budget.
Description:
  • Develop, execute, and oversee infrastructure software and tool deployment projects within the specified scope. Facilitate and coordinate numerous interconnected project activities while balancing multiple competing priorities and inputs to ensure successful project completion.
  • The Release Manager will be responsible for planning and executing small to medium projects to support line of business and enterprise wide desktop software and tool deployments initiated by Infrastructure, Architecture, and Innovation.
  • The ideal candidate must effectively prioritize their workload and be able to work independently.
Responsibilities:
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures, maintaining quality management standards.
  • Initiate and Plan IT Projects: Collaborate with business and IT management to establish and reach consensus on project goals, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Project Control: Evaluate how changes in scope, issues, and risks will impact projects. Work with divisional and cross-divisional management and sponsors to agree on resolutions. Measure performance to ensure the project progresses as planned and within budget.
  • Executing and Closing Projects: Develop and implement a work plan using authorized resources to ensure all activities are completed. Collect lessons learned and secure final project approval from sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Project Communication: Produce project reports and metrics to communicate progress, providing timely and accurate status and decision support information to Project Stakeholders as well as recommend solutions based on current project objectives and effectively manage risk and issues to deliver projects successfully.
  • Resource and Team Management: Coordinate resources to meet project needs and effectively assign tasks and deliverables to team members based on their skills and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Utilize existing standards, methodologies, desktop collaboration tools, and processes while understanding the interrelationships of various software and business processes.
  • Develop the Project Charter, Risk and Impact assessments, and project work plan (WBS), along with current and future process maps to fulfill the sponsor's requirements and achieve project deliverables.
  • Possess a solid understanding of project management practices and preferably holds a PMP Certification.
  • Lead infrastructure projects cross-functionally as needed.
  • Present project status to multiple levels of management.
  • Manage work with a strong emphasis on Issue and Risk management.
  • Exhibit strong collaboration and communication skills given the strategic impact, change, project complexity, and some interactions with senior executives. Capable of identifying and prioritizing competing priorities and escalations. Work with a matrixed team and multiple cross-functional groups. Demonstrate the ability to think strategically and creatively. Lead and direct the work of others effectively.
