Position Overview & Scope
Support and optimize network infrastructure in alignment with agency needs.
Address increasing workload in Network Operations Center (NOC).
Ensure operational support for enterprise network.
Responsibilities include agency networking projects, troubleshooting, enhancements, monitoring, and report generation.
Work involves travel for network upgrades, moves, and technical issue resolutions.
Key Responsibilities
Install, deploy, and troubleshoot enterprise wireless and network infrastructure
Support network connectivity for Windows, Mac, tablets, and mobile devices
Manage full lifecycle of wireless network devices
Assist the State Health Laboratory with network connectivity
Register devices using Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine)
Perform on-site wireless assessments and maintain wireless heatmaps (using Ekahau/iPad)
Execute network deployments and upgrades (requires ladder work and lifting)
Handle upgrades, maintenance, firmware/software/security patches
Monitor agency s trouble ticket system and resolve tickets
Serve as Tier 1 and 2 support for networking issues
Provide technical solutions and regular management updates
Required Skills
3+ years of Network Administration (Cisco and Palo Alto Firewalls)
3+ years with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
3+ years working with LAN, WLAN, and WAN
3+ years using a ticketing system
Associate's Degree (minimum education)
Preferred Skills
Network certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP)
Experience with SolarWinds Orion
Experience with Ekahau Sidekick for wireless site surveys
