Job Title: UI/UX + Front-End Developer (Contract)
Location: Lansing, MI (Local Candidates Only Hybrid, 2 Days Onsite/Week)
Duration: Full-Time Contract Minimum 1 Year
Rate: $66/hr W2 Only

Job Description:

We are actively seeking a highly skilled and creative UI/UX + Front-End Developer for a long-term contract with the State of Michigan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and developing responsive web applications and converting UI/UX designs into functional, user-centered interfaces.

This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days onsite per week in Lansing, MI. Only local candidates who can work on W2 will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, analysts, and developers to gather and understand project requirements.

  • Design and prototype modern web applications using Figma, Adobe XD, or similar tools.

  • Develop and implement responsive, accessible, and interactive front-end components.

  • Use HTML, CSS (Tailwind/SASS), and JavaScript/TypeScript for front-end development.

  • Work with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.

  • Utilize Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based version control.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design and prototyping (Figma, Adobe XD).

  • 5+ years of experience in front-end development, turning designs into real-world applications.

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Tailwind, or SASS.

  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.

  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, and modern build tools (Webpack, Babel, NPM).

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

  • A strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX and front-end development projects is required.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with React and/or MUI.

  • Familiarity with .NET Web APIs.

  • Passion for modern UI/UX design trends and front-end technologies.

Work Authorization:

  • W2 only No C2C or 1099.

  • Must be a , , L2 EAD, or EAD.
