Detailed Job Description:

The Mailbox Operations Specialist is responsible for managing the ILEC Meet-Point and XML Mailboxes to ensure accurate and timely processing of circuit, connectivity, and Local Service Request (LSR) information. This role serves as a critical link between customers, IT, and network teams, ensuring smooth operations, connectivity setup, and compliance with telecom service standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the ILEC Meet-Point Mailbox, processing approximately 400 monthly circuit requests between CLLI codes.
  • Review and respond to customer meet-point inquiries, perform circuit redesigns, and establish new meet-points as required.
  • Operate the XML Mailbox to process requests for establishing or updating Local Service Request (LSR) XML Gateway connectivity.
  • Create and maintain CLEC test and production APPL IDs to enable customer order submissions.
  • Coordinate and lead calls among test managers, IT teams, and customers for platform testing, troubleshooting, and migrations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and logs for mailbox transactions, customer requests, and provisioning updates.
  • Analyze data trends and prepare operational reports to track SLA performance and process efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve process workflows and resolve customer or system-related issues promptly.

Key Skills:

  • 5 8 years of experience in telecom operations, mailbox management, or customer technical support.
  • Strong knowledge of CLLI codes, circuit provisioning, and meet-point operations.
  • Hands-on experience with LSR XML Gateway management and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of requests and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using ticketing systems, MS Excel, and XML-based tools.
  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience in telecommunications or IT.
