Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with a strong focus on Business Intelligence (BI), data analysis, and operational reporting. This hybrid role in Detroit, MI requires an experienced analyst capable of gathering and translating complex business requirements, validating data sources, and supporting BI/reporting initiatives for a financial client s auto systems and reporting team.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in BI-driven business analysis, strong SQL proficiency, and hands-on expertise with Power BI or Cognos. Prior experience in auto finance is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
Business Requirements & Analysis

Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, and refine detailed BI and reporting requirements.
Translate business needs into effective technical specifications for data, reporting, and analytics teams.

Data Validation & Reporting Support

Validate data sources, ensure data accuracy, and support operational and regulatory reporting initiatives.
Develop, enhance, and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI or Cognos.

BI & Data Expertise

Leverage advanced SQL skills to analyze datasets, troubleshoot data issues, and support development teams.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business goals, data integrity, and reporting solutions.
