MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Cloud Engineer Senior, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of DHS and OBIM.
Manage production and development environments within AWS GovCloud
Implement infrastructure as code practices and leveraging DevOps tools to automate system administration tasks
Deploy and maintain Splunk infrastructure and configurations
Configure Splunk alerting and reporting to meet audit requirements
Perform various system administration tasks
Provide on-call support to incident response and triage across cross-functional teams
Collaborate with O&M team and stakeholders to deliver outcome-based solutions aligned with customer requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Cloud Engineer Senior must have:
Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
Experience: 5+ years of related experience
Technical skills: experience managing production and development cloud environments and providing other enterprise-level O&M support for the Homeland Advanced Recognition Technology (HART) system; experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, Ansible, OpenShift, and AWS EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC
Security clearance level: Public Trust (DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability)

Role requirements: work location - any CONUS home/remote; experience briefing or communicating issues/problems and outcome-based solutions, plans, progress, and results clearly and succinctly to program management and to Government supervisors/managers or technical staff; adept at problem-solving, troubleshooting, collaboration, time management, multi-tasking, and task-ownership; excellent oral and written communication skills; and possesses a high degree of originality, creativity, and initiative requiring minimal supervision
Preferred Skills: 10+ years of related experience; degree in computer engineering, computer science, information systems, or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience; knowledge and/or expertise with CyberArk, Maestro, Confluence, and/or Jira; and certifications in ITIL v4, SAFe Agile Framework, Scrum Master, AWS, or similar.

The likely salary range for this position is $110,925 - $150,075. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
