Position: AWS Architect Location: Remote Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced AWS Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS services and solutions, with a strong focus on security, containerization, and cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable AWS architectures while ensuring the highest standards of security and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
Container Scanning: Integrate container scanning using Prisma or similar tools. Assess and implement container scanning within our own environment if integration with the parent company s Prisma install is not feasible.
Run Containers as Non-Root User: Establish and maintain secure user configurations for containers. Evaluate and optimize current approaches to ensure adherence to best practices for running containers as non-root users.
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Review and enhance existing RBAC implementations. Engineer comprehensive RBAC solutions tailored to our organizational needs.
Network Policies: Review and refine current network policy definitions for pod communication. Design and implement robust network policies, potentially incorporating Service Mesh technologies.
Encrypt Communication: Implement mutual TLS for secure communication within our infrastructure. Provide guidance on best practices for encryption and secure communication channels.
Secure Data: Implement best practices for protecting the ETCD store and managing secrets. Ensure data integrity and security across all storage solutions.
Backup: Develop and implement best practices for backing up ETCD and application data. Ensure reliable backup and recovery processes are in place.
Security Policies: Evaluate current security practices and requirements. Implement security as code to automate and enforce security policies.
Disaster Recovery: Develop and implement comprehensive disaster recovery plans. Ensure systems are resilient and recovery procedures are well-documented and tested.

Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as an AWS Architect or similar role.
Strong knowledge of AWS services, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud security.
Experience with container scanning tools (e.g., Prisma), RBAC, and network policies.
Expertise in mutual TLS, ETCD security, and disaster recovery planning.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desirable
