Job Type: Contract (Corp to Corp/C2C or 1099)
Position: Onsite, No Remote Work Allowed.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to support the Client in analyzing and documenting business processes, gathering and managing system requirements, and coordinating quality assurance activities. This role plays a critical part in modernizing FDOT systems, supporting data migration initiatives, and ensuring compliance with state standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in business and system analysis, strong facilitation skills, and a solid understanding of Agile methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and document FDOT business processes and their interdependencies.
- Create process diagrams and system workflows to illustrate current and future states.
- Assess and document the impact of changes on existing business systems.
- Facilitate joint analysis sessions and stakeholder workshops.
- Elicit, define, and manage business and technical requirements as user stories in Azure DevOps.
- Maintain and prioritize product backlogs and work items in Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with development and data migration teams to ensure alignment with requirements.
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases; coordinate testing and quality assurance activities.
- Review project deliverables for compliance with department and state standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business process and systems analysis.
- Strong proficiency in process modeling using tools like Microsoft Visio.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience in writing SQL queries and conducting data analysis.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps for managing requirements and work items.
- Knowledge of data migration processes and impacts.
- Understanding of testing and quality assurance methodologies.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure and software development practices.
- Knowledge of State of Florida Project Management Rule 60GG-1 and related administrative codes is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Agile methodologies and backlog management using Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of change and release management best practices.
- Experience working on government or public sector projects.
- Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
