Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and people-focused HR and Recruitment Coordinator to lead recruiting, onboarding, volunteer management, and program execution. This role will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, partner closely with stakeholders to support programs and events, and drive strong people leadership and operational excellence. Experience with ATS platforms (Workday preferred) is highly desirable.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from application through hire, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management, and onboarding.

  • Maintain and optimize Applicant Tracking System (ATS) processes to ensure accurate data, compliance, and reporting.

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and deliver timely hiring solutions.

  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring journey.

  • Serve as hiring manager for volunteer roles, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and engagement.

  • Manage and support volunteers to ensure high performance, satisfaction, and retention.

  • Develop volunteer guidelines, policies, and best practices.

  • Coordinate and deliver onboarding and training programs for employees and volunteers.

  • Identify training needs and partner with stakeholders to develop learning initiatives.

  • Track training completion and effectiveness.

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management support to team members and volunteers.

  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture.

  • Resolve employee and volunteer issues in a professional and timely manner.

  • Lead program management activities, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to support events and initiatives.

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute events while ensuring timelines, resources, and deliverables are met.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in HR recruiting, onboarding, and full lifecycle hiring.

  • Strong working knowledge of ATS systems; Workday experience preferred.

  • Experience managing volunteers and acting as a hiring manager.

  • Demonstrated people management and leadership capabilities.

  • Experience coordinating training programs and workforce development initiatives.

  • Strong program and stakeholder management skills.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills & Experience:
-Two (2) - four (4) years of administrative experience preferably working with volunteers.
-Microsoft Office.

Volunteer Coordinator who is interested in growing into a full-time permanent role based on performance and fit. This is a multi-faceted position that wears three key hats and is ideal for someone who wants hands-on experience across HR recruiting, people management, and program management

  • HR Recruiter/Primary Onboarding Coordinator: manage the full volunteer candidate lifecycle from application review through hire and orientation; Workday Recruiting ATS experience strongly preferred. HR recruiting/onboarding experience is the most critical competency.
  • Hiring Manager for Volunteers: oversee active volunteers, including compliance with trainings and health requirements and reassignment to new roles.
  • Program Management: partner with Volunteer Services leadership to develop assignments, update program materials, and support volunteer programs and events.

Employment Details: 

  • Full-Time Temporary, On-Site 
    • Intent to transition to Full-Time Permanent based on performance.
  • Eligible for 1 remote day per weekonce fully trained (at manager’s discretion)
