Description
We are looking for an experienced IT Tech to join our team on a long-term contract basis in LaVergne, Tennessee. In this role, you will provide comprehensive technical support for hardware, software, and network systems, ensuring seamless operations for end users. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic IT environment and contribute to the maintenance and optimization of critical systems.
Responsibilities:
Administer, configure, and repair laptops, including hardware component identification and replacement.
Perform Windows systems administration across workstation platforms, ensuring optimal functionality.
Add new systems to the network and domain, including setting file and folder permissions.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, focusing on laptops and other network devices.
Install and configure user workstations along with required applications and software.
Apply software updates and patches to maintain system security and performance.
Assist users with operation and troubleshooting of standard and specialized software applications.
Conduct preventative maintenance and document processes and procedures for future reference.
Install and manage serial and Ethernet printers, including LaserJet and Zebra models.
Support cabling projects, including installation and troubleshooting of handheld barcode scanners.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a client/server environment within a small to medium-sized business.
A+ and Net+ certifications are required; additional IT certifications or an associate degree in IT are preferred.
Proficiency in Windows operating systems ranging from Windows 7 to Windows 11.
Familiarity with Windows Server versions from 2003 to 2019 and Microsoft Exchange Server.
Working knowledge of Active Directory and common Cisco switch configurations.
Understanding of TCP/IP, routing, wireless connectivity, and standard network protocols.
Competency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio applications.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring physical agility.
