Workday FINS Administrator

HHS is embarking on an exciting journey to transform our HR operations with Workday HCM. We're seeking a highly motivated Workday FINS Administrator to join our team during this pivotal phase. Having gone live on January 1, 2025, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our financial systems and processes.

 

Responsibilities:

 

As a Workday FINS Administrator, you'll play a key role in the configuration, testing, implementation, and ongoing administration of Workday within our organization.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • System Support: Provide day-to-day Workday FINS support, troubleshoot issues, and serve as the primary point of contact for resolution.

  • System Configuration: Configure and maintain Workday business processes, security policies, and reports tailored to our organization's unique needs.

  • Collaboration: Partner with finance and business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into effective solutions, and ensure successful implementation.

  • Training & Support: Train end-users on Workday functionality, ensuring a seamless transition and ongoing user adoption.

  • Implementation & Go-Live: Collaborate closely with our implementation team to prepare for a smooth and successful Workday Go-Live.

  • Integrations: Support existing Workday Enterprise Interface integrations with vendors, monitoring processes to ensure successful execution.

  • Data Integrity: Monitor, audit, and maintain data within Workday to ensure accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.

  • Financial Process Expertise: Leverage your accounting knowledge to align Workday configurations with core financial principles and ensure accuracy across financial transactions, reporting, and compliance.

  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of Workday FINS functionalities, data management, and troubleshooting.

  • Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving, requirements gathering, process improvement, and data analysis capabilities.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for effective collaboration and training.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building, collaboration, and end-user support skills.

  • Additional Skills: Project management, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning.

 

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent work experience.

  • 2+ years of experience in financial system administration, with a focus on Workday FINS.

  • A solid understanding of accounting processes and data, with the ability to translate business needs into system solutions.

  • Experience with Workday business process configuration, report writing, and data management.

  • Workday Accounting Experience: Demonstrated experience applying accounting principles within the Workday Financials platform, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.

  • Workday Pro FINS or Workday Pro Security certification is a plus but not required.
