Position Overview:
The Software Architect will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing COBOL programs to address data quality issues as part of the DMV Transformation initiative. The role includes defining data requirements, writing application specifications, conducting unit testing, and overseeing the migration and validation of remediations in a production environment.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements to define data specifications.
- Design and develop COBOL programs for data transformation.
- Conduct unit testing and develop test plans.
- Implement and migrate programs to production.
- Perform post-production validation.
- Document technical specifications and knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and state employees.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Title: Software Architect
- Skill Level: Expert (84+ months of experience)
- Definition: Makes high-level design choices, dictates technical standards, designs multi-level architectures, and component interactions for large-scale systems.
