About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Supervisor to oversee operations, ensure reliability, and drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing facility. You will lead diverse teams, manage preventive maintenance, and foster a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of supervisory experience, a proven ability to manage teams in a union environment, and strong expertise in process and equipment management.
Key Responsibilities
< class="x_elementToProof">People & Labor Management</>Lead and manage all aspects of Safety, Quality, and Line Efficiency for the assigned shift.
Conduct and manage the Daily Meeting System for the maintenance department.
Execute plans through the maintenance and repair cell; build skills and provide training as needed.
Support recruitment of mechanics and oversee interviews.
Manage union relationships to foster a positive environment and resolve conflicts.
Build team capabilities, including Shift Leads and PM Technicians.
Ensure GMP compliance in tooling and workshop management.
Oversee talent management and performance of PM Technicians.
Lead mean time to repair (MTTR) improvement initiatives; make decisions during unplanned stops and implement countermeasures.
Document learnings and provide timely feedback post-intervention.
Develop end-to-end process understanding to enhance decision-making.
Oversee execution of planned and unplanned maintenance programs, including run-time and preventive maintenance.
Provide feedback into SAP systems to update Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans.
Prioritize and execute PM activities related to Safety and Quality.
Facilitate small group PM activities with subject matter experts and escalate training needs.
Conduct breakdown analysis and implement corrective actions.
Ensure on-time start-ups and line readiness according to production priorities.
Drive cost-effective Maintenance & Reliability (M&R) optimization aligned with lean principles.
Provide technical training opportunities for associates to build a strong 24/7 workforce.
Evaluate and refine equipment reliability strategies, root cause analysis, and performance improvement.
Ensure compliance with all safety rules, regulations, and training requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of direct supervision in engineering/maintenance/production within manufacturing (required).
Experience working with unionized employees (required).
Bachelor s degree in engineering preferred; alternatively, 5+ years of relevant field experience.
Strong background in preventive maintenance and manufacturing plant operations.
Experience leading teams of machine technicians, electricians, and engineers.
Schedule
4 days on, 4 days off (12-hour shifts).
Shifts typically run 6:00 AM 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM 6:00 AM.

Candidate Profile
Experience: 10 15 years total; at least 5 years supervisory in manufacturing.
Seniority Level: Mid Senior.
Management Experience: Required.
Education: Bachelor s Degree (preferred).
