Project Overview:

Implement OSCAR Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to enable electronic batch records (EBR) with ERP integration for BPG SUD Logan and Nashville Manufacturing. Justification: SUD currently uses paper to document & track lot records through production. A paper-based system contains many wastes & inefficiencies in the process in creation, completion, management, & storage. This project is to transition away from paper-based lot record system to an Electronic Batch Record (EBR) system. This project aligns with business goals of optimizing productivity for greater efficiency in manufacturing and operations. It is also in line with digital transformation to utilize data more in business decisions and the greater goal of MES functionality within operations to enhance quality and productivity even further.

Role Scope / Deliverables:

The Scrum Master resource will primarily be guiding the team through project execution according to Agile Scrum project methodology. They will need to facilitate the Scrum ceremonies/meetings and collaborate with the various functional groups from requirements gathering, development, and solution implementation and roll-out at both sites. They will need to employ Scrum management tools (Jira) and partner with the IT PM to enable visibility and communication of project progress. Post development phase, the Scrum Master will continue to utilize the Scrum methodology and tools to drive the business/Ops teams through their implementation phase (EBR config and deployments).

Key Skills:

5+ years experience driving IT software application projects with software development teams following Scrum methodologies

5+ years experience as Scrum Master, facilitating scrum ceremonies and coaching teams on Scrum processes

Experience in Life Sciences and/or manufacturing domain

Experience with Scrum management tools like Jira or Microsoft TFS

Experience in using office software like Outlook, Excel, word, and/or power point

Strong knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle phases

Strong understanding of different software development methodologies like Waterfall, Agile, iterative development, etc.

Knowledge of Siemens Camstar/OpCenter or any other MES is a huge plus

Good problem-solving skills

Ability to drive and manage multiple teams

Project and/or program management experience

Scrum master certification Mandatory

Experience in optimizing processes and software development practices - especially scrum practices
