Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

This position's primary responsibility is to manage the lifecycle of business hardware. They will assist in or fully manage asset procurement, configuration, deployment, tracking, troubleshooting, and eventually recycling/destroying the hardware. They will be responsible for working directly with vendors, aiding in finding new vendors to partner with, and maintaining solid relationships with current partners. They will be expected to learn and improve process flow while adhering to all regulatory controls.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
  • Effectively and appropriately manage hardware and software requests through an ITSM solution, providing timely and full resolution.
  • Work with and resolve requests for bank colleagues during "Drive-by" scenarios that occur at the stockroom site.
  • Maintain a clean an organized IT asset stockroom
  • Appropriately Packaging/Shipping/Receiving of all IT assets that flow through the stockroom
  • Imaging workstations with base images and post configuration activities
  • Triage and test returned equipment to certify for reuse.
  • Leverage warranty services when applicable for certain IT assets, sometimes involved in hardware replacement, part repair and/or replacement, etc.
  • Work with hardware vendors to package/ship offsite for repair for assets such as check scanners and signature pads.
  • Perform accurate stock level counts to ensure healthy min/max levels are maintained
  • Work with vendors to procure additional IT assets for deployment ranging from laptops, desktops, computer peripherals and more.
  • Track asset assignment, delivery, movement, return, and retiring/destruction statuses in CMDB
  • Follow the Bank's Information Security policies, ensuring that the processing and handling of all client information and confidential Bank information is done in a secure manner and environment.

JOB EVALUATION FACTORS:

Education
  • Associate degree or equivalent is preferred
  • Industry recognized certification in IT is preferred

Skills/Training
  • Ability to provide ideal solutions for various requests
  • Self-start and self-direct work as needed to achieve completion of expected tasks.
  • Create structure in an evolving role, with limited guidance from manager
  • Ability to create comprehensive documentation on processes and standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly positive customer service interactions


Experience:
  • Experience shipping/receiving preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in IT related field
  • 1-year experience in financial or retail industry
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Experience in ITIL Framework preferred


Physical Conditions:
  • 70% of time will be spent on feet; Other time will be spent in an office setting; able to lift approximately 50-100 lbs.


Working Conditions:
  • Typical office conditions. May require work installing, lifting, transporting equipment to locations other than home location. May require travel. May require non-standard work hours.

Supervisory Relationships:
  • Reports directly to and works under the supervision of the Client Systems Engineering Manager


Internal Relationships:
  • Works closely with the other group members of the Information Technology department to accomplish department and Bank goals.
  • Daily communication with bank colleagues that will range from request fulfillment to relationship building
  • Communication with C-Level executives regarding various requests and initiatives


External Relationships:
  • Requires 3rd party vendor communication; Must be comfortable and effective with communicating with vendors
