Role: Business Analyst/DA- Regulatory Report

Location: Irving, TX

Job Description:

The Business Analyst & Data Analyst will be responsible for gathering, validating, communicating, and coordinating requirements for Retail & Corporate Banking Products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with key stakeholders to gather requirements, analyse, finalize and receive formal sign-off s from approvers
  • Translate requirements into Business Requirement Document, Functional Requirement Document and Minor Development Document
  • Facilitate and drive project meetings with both business and technology teams
  • Analyze data to ensure data quality and accurate calculation results
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing with business user community and QA teams
  • Work, collaborate and coordinate with Offshore and Onsite team members to fulfill the BA responsibilities from project initiation to post-implementation
  • Perform business and data analysis in development of requirements and in ongoing support of production applications
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards
  • Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals
  • Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary
  • Develop creative technical solutions to meet business needs and manage complex, high volume applications in partnership with business partners and stakeholders

Skills:

  • 8 - 10 years of Business/Data Analysis experience
  • Experience as a Techno-Functional Analyst or similar role.
  • Experience in Retail Banking products in Cards (Loans, Mortgage also preferable)
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum.
  • Experience in Regulatory Reporting Basel, Y9C, CCAR, Liquidity reporting etc.
  • Should have strong knowledge on implication/changes required for Basel 3 compliance for large banks
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge. Prior experience on Hive, Oracle and Sybase is added advantage
  • Should have knowledge on Data Warehouse Concepts, ETL process
  • Ability to understand & explain domain concepts to Developers / Testers.
  • Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
