Job Details

Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst
Location: Quincy, MA (Hybrid 3 Days Remote, 2 Days Onsite)
Duration: 3+ Months (with possible extensions)

Required Experience

  • Hands-on experience with HIPAA ANSI X12 standards and EDI transactions (834, 820, 270, 271, 837, 999) and strong knowledge of Managed Care/Member systems.

  • Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, MS Azure).

  • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and similar technologies.

  • Background in testing interfaces integrated with cloud services.

  • Technical skills in Oracle SQL Developer, C, C++, Java, Groovy, UNIX scripting, and MS Office suite.

  • Strong Selenium automation experience with core Java.

  • Prior healthcare industry experience, including web services, microservices, and interface testing.

Special Skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams, providing QA expertise to diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate test results and make confident recommendations.

  • Experience in Health and Human Services applications or governmental data processing systems is a plus.

Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Analyst will design and execute test cases using both manual and automated methods. The role includes mentoring team members, supporting the test manager, conducting requirements analysis, creating test metrics, reviewing test cases, and ensuring software quality compliance. The analyst will oversee daily test execution, manage defect tracking/reporting, and participate in status calls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in defect triage meetings and daily stand-ups; provide updates on defects and root cause analysis.

  • Apply diverse testing approaches and techniques to certify software acceptance.

  • Contribute to weekly defect remediation efforts and resolve warranty defects.

  • Engage in Joint Application Design (JAD) and scope sessions with cross-functional teams.

  • Create, review, and maintain test plans, test cases, and reusable test scripts.

  • Perform functional, regression, security, positive/negative, requirements verification, and post-production validation testing.

  • Manage data setup, load testing, and automation test reporting.

  • Conduct critical analysis of test results, escalate issues appropriately, and ensure timely resolution.

  • Collaborate with SQA Manager and project teams to meet testing deadlines.

  • Perform gap analysis, recommend new scenarios, and enhance the test bed for patch releases.

  • Identify regression suites for each release and assign tasks to testers.

  • Develop automation scripts and provide technical guidance.

  • Prepare and distribute Test Summary Reports after each test cycle.
