Job Description:
Value technology seeking an experienced Data Architect with strong expertise in data mapping, migration, and credit card system conversions. This is an onsite role in Wilmington, DE, and requires hands-on experience with ETL processes, regulatory compliance, and working across financial services or payments systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze data structures from legacy credit card platforms for conversion
- Develop source-to-target mapping, transformation rules, and data dictionaries
- Design and execute ETL processes for data migration
- Ensure data quality, validation, cleansing, and reconciliation
- Collaborate with business analysts and technical teams to validate mapping logic
- Support unit, integration, and UAT testing phases
- Document all mapping processes and issues for audit and future reference
- Ensure compliance with PCI DSS and other data privacy regulations
- Provide post-conversion support and assist in issue resolution
Technical Skills Required:
- Strong experience in data mapping, migration, and ETL development
- Proficient in SQL, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, and data modeling
- Experience with credit card systems (e.g., TSYS, FIS, First Data)
- Knowledge of data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation techniques
- Scripting skills in Python, Java, or similar for data manipulation
Domain & Business Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of credit card lifecycle and transaction processing
- Familiarity with PCI DSS, financial regulations, and data security standards
- Previous experience in credit card system conversions is highly preferred
- Experience with large-scale data migration in banking or payments industry
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Detail-oriented with strong focus on data accuracy, Proven ability to work well in cross-functional teams under tight deadlines
