We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Endpoint Engineer to elevate our end-user computing environment. This role goes beyond break/fix support-it's about creating a consistent, reliable, and secure experience across all endpoints. You will own the integration of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and related systems, ensuring issues are solved at scale, not just at the individual level.
Key Responsibilities:
Apex Systems is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe. When you join Apex, you become part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. We offer quality career resources, training, certifications, development opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in many awards, including ClearlyRated's Best of Staffing in Talent Satisfaction in the United States and Great Place to Work in the United Kingdom and Mexico.
Apex Benefits Overview: Apex offers a range of supplemental benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other insurance plans that offer an optional layer of financial protection. We offer an ESPP (employee stock purchase program) and a 401K program which allows you to contribute typically within 30 days of starting, with a company match after 12 months of tenure. Apex also offers a HSA (Health Savings Account on the HDHP plan), a SupportLinc Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with up to 8 free counseling sessions, a corporate discount savings program and other discounts. In terms of professional development, Apex hosts an on-demand training program, provides access to certification prep and a library of technical and leadership courses/books/seminars once you have 6+ months of tenure, and certification discounts and other perks to associations that include CompTIA and IIBA. Apex has a dedicated customer service team for our Consultants that can address questions around benefits and other resources, as well as a certified Career Coach. You can access a full list of our benefits, programs, support teams and resources within our 'Welcome Packet' as well, which an Apex team member can provide.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex desktop issues across Windows, macOS, and iOS environments.
- Analyze root causes of recurring problems and implement fleet-wide solutions to prevent future incidents.
- Design and enforce standards for endpoint configuration, security, and performance to deliver a consistent user experience.
- Collaborate with network, security, and engineering teams to identify and resolve systemic issues (e.g., VPN performance, network stack bottlenecks).
- Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions, including guiding decisions on device procurement (Windows vs. Mac, monitor quality, etc.).
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, articulating technical challenges and presenting actionable solutions.
- Occasionally visit offices to assess real-world user experiences, troubleshoot environmental issues, and build relationships with stakeholders.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and leverage tools (including AI) to optimize troubleshooting and system design.
- 7+ years of experience in end-user computing, desktop engineering, or endpoint management.
- Deep expertise in Windows environments (Lenovo laptops), with working knowledge of macOS and iOS.

- Familiarity with information security principles and systems engineering concepts.
- Proven ability to diagnose complex technical issues and implement scalable solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge assumptions and advocate for improvements.
- Experience introducing macOS into enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of Cisco VPN and alternative remote access solutions.
- Exposure to program management and procurement processes.
- Ability to leverage AI tools for research and troubleshooting.
- Self-driven and proactive-able to identify problems and take initiative without waiting for direction.
- Comfortable working remotely but willing to visit offices as needed to engage with users and validate solutions.
- Opportunity for career growth into leadership and option for conversion to full-time employee after 6 month contract period of evaluation.
