SAP Functional Consultant
Location: Minneapolis, MN or Atlanta, GA Hybrid
Duration: 12+ Months with Contract to Hire.
SAP Functional Payroll expert. Techno-functional is a plus. Proven, expert understanding in SAP Payroll for a complex enterprise. Deep understanding of system capabilities, translate requirements into technical specs in the form of agile stories and acceptance criteria. Lead design, configuration, and development for complex payroll solutions. Expertise in SAP HCM Payroll schemas, PCRs, Wage types, country-specific regulations, strong ABAP skills for custom functions. Role includes technical definition of requirements, design, configuration, end-to-end testing, issue resolution, and cross-functional collaboration. Sense of urgency and ownership required.
Candidates need to have:
- Expertise in SAP HR Payroll functional configuration
- Strong communication skills to interact with business users and gather requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of US SAP Payroll functions within SAP.
Key Responsibilities:
Gathering Functional Requirements:
- Collaborate with business users to understand needs and define functional requirements.
- Conduct business process analysis, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefit evaluations to align IT solutions with business goals.
SAP Implementation & Configuration:
- Facilitate the implementation, configuration, and testing of various SAP modules to enhance business functionality and performance.
- Design, configure, and test solutions within SAP HR Payroll to meet client requirements.
Project Leadership & Management:
- Manage SAP implementations and provide leadership to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Develop and evaluate project plans, providing direction to team members.
Client Engagement & Troubleshooting:
- Act as the primary liaison between the client and IT teams to address software issues.
- Investigate, analyze, and solve software problems, mapping client business requirements to SAP processes.
- Develop necessary product modifications to meet client needs.
Training & Knowledge Transfer:
- Provide functional expertise, guidance, and instruction on SAP products to clients.
- Conduct training sessions to ensure smooth adoption of new systems.
Adhering to Industry Best Practices:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the organization s standards and adhere to them during implementations.
