Summary
The Healthcare Services Administrator is responsible for the overall management and operation of a healthcare facility, ensuring high-quality resident care and compliance with all state and federal regulations. This role involves leadership, financial oversight, staff management, and continuous improvement of care standards. The Administrator ensures that the facility runs efficiently, ethically, and within budget, while fostering a positive environment for residents, staff, and families.

Key Responsibilities Facility Operations & Leadership
Oversee daily operations of the facility to ensure efficient, high-quality care delivery.
Promote a positive, ethical, and resident-centered culture.
Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
Prepare and manage annual budgets and monitor financial performance.
Ensure the facility maintains safety standards and is well-maintained.
Lead marketing and community outreach efforts.

Resident Care & Compliance
Develop and implement Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) plans.
Monitor resident care standards and ensure compliance with regulations.
Address resident and family concerns or complaints and ensure timely resolution.
Investigate and report incidents, such as falls or injuries, in accordance with regulations.
Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality.

Financial & Administrative Oversight
Monitor billing, collections, and accounts receivable to minimize bad debt.
Analyze financial reports and implement corrective actions when needed.
Ensure effective business office functions including cost reporting and budgeting.

Human Resources & Staff Management
Recruit, hire, and retain qualified staff across all departments.
Conduct regular staff meetings and ensure performance evaluations are completed.
Oversee staff training, development, and compliance with employment laws.
Foster a positive and respectful workplace culture.
Implement disciplinary actions as needed in line with policies.

Required Qualifications
Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations, Medicare/Medicaid requirements, and healthcare compliance.
Experience with budgeting, cost management, and financial reporting.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information and manage crisis situations effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet tools.
Ability to motivate and manage a diverse workforce.

Education & Experience
Bachelor s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, finance, or a clinical field.
Licensed (or license-eligible) as a Nursing Home Administrator in the state of operation.
At least 2 years of experience as a nursing home administrator or
2 years in a healthcare leadership role plus successful completion of an Administrator in Training (AIT) program.
