About the Role

We're seeking a Senior Network Engineer with deep expertise in cloud networking, security, and automation to support the design and implementation of secure DMZ environments in AWS. This is a high-impact role focused on Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA), automation, and cloud-native security. Key Responsibilities
  • Design & Implement Cloud DMZ Architectures using AWS services (VPC, Transit Gateway, NACLs, AWS Network Firewall, WAF, ALB).
  • Secure External Access Points: Configure NAT Gateways, VPC endpoints, and firewall rules for external-facing applications.
  • Cloud Networking: Manage VPC peering, route tables, subnets, and hybrid connectivity (VPN/Direct Connect).
  • Threat Mitigation & Monitoring: Leverage AWS CloudWatch, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and Lambda automation.
  • Compliance & Best Practices: Align with NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, and internal security policies.
  • Collaboration & Documentation: Partner with cloud architects and InfoSec teams; maintain detailed network documentation.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • 5+ years in cloud infrastructure and security (AWS-focused).
  • Strong knowledge of DMZ, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and ZTNA.
  • Hands-on with AWS networking and security tools.
  • Proficient in scripting (Python, Bash) and automation.
  • Experience with Palo Alto virtual firewalls (3+ years).
  • Familiar with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPS, VPNs.
  • Exposure to CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
  • Background in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government) is a plus.
  • AWS certifications (Advanced Networking, Security Specialty) preferred.
