Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Perform structural calculations using engineering fundamentals and applicable building codes.
- Utilize a range of engineering software tools to support computer-aided design and analysis.
- Prepare and manage project documentation for client submissions and internal use.
- Attend on-site meetings and conduct inspections during various stages of construction.
- Draft formal written reports summarizing field observations and construction progress.
- Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the design and construction process.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within project teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a Master's degree will be a plus
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required
- 7-15 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on multiple project types, including: multifamily, higher education facilities, healthcare institutions, hospitals, data centers / mission-critical structures, or commercial buildings
- Expertise in the use of building materials such as concrete, steel, and timber
- Proficiency in software tools including AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, and RAM
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
