Job Title: Senior Test Analyst
Position Type: Contract

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Tester to support business system testing, integration testing, and regression testing for a large-scale child support system. This role involves working with mainframe technologies, APIs, and multiple system interfaces. The position is fully remote; however, applicants must be current residents of Indiana.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Execution
Develop and execute detailed test plans, test scenarios, scripts, and test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.
Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
Defect Management
Identify, document, and track software defects using standardized processes and tools.
Collaborate closely with development teams to troubleshoot, validate fixes, and ensure quality standards are met.
Data Validation
Validate end-to-end data flows between mainframe systems and integrated interfaces.
Analyze batch job results (COBOL, JCL, DB2) and coordinate issue resolution with developers.
Collaboration & Communication
Work with the Test Supervisor, Product Owners, Project Managers, and Developers to support timely, high-quality software releases.
Support end-users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Documentation
Prepare and maintain clear, organized test documentation, including test results, defect reports, and status updates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (5+ years)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with:
- SDLC processes and software testing methodologies
- Mainframe testing (COBOL, JCL, DB2)
- Test execution and reporting procedures
- Jira, MS Office, and Tricentis qTest
- Experience in Salesforce testing and UAT support.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and proactive work style.
- Understanding of child support program rules, regulations, and procedures.
