Project Controls Specialist (Scheduler) - LOCAL TALENT ONLY (Greater Detroit/MI area)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Scheduler/Estimator to support planning, scheduling, and estimating activities for large-scale engineering and construction projects. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical abilities, hands-on experience with project controls tools (especially Primavera P6), and the capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a power plant or similar industrial environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following:

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business, Business Administration, or related field and 3+ years of job-relevant experience

• Associate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Accounting, Math, or related field and 5+ years of job-relevant experience

• High School Diploma or GED and 7+ years of job-relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Scheduler: 2+ years of experience with Primavera (P6 preferred)

• Estimator: 2+ years of construction estimating experience on large projects

Other Requirements

• Ability to work in a power plant or industrial environment (climb stairs, work in hot or confined spaces, etc.)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present findings and engage with individuals at all levels

• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and recommend optimal solutions

• Proven ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional work groups

• Working knowledge of financial analysis, economic evaluation, project management, and risk management
