Job Title: ServiceNow Architect
Job Summary
The ServiceNow Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing ServiceNow solutions to meet business needs. This role requires deep technical expertise in the ServiceNow platform, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and innovative solutions. The architect will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs while ensuring alignment with best practices and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Strategy
Lead the design and architecture of ServiceNow solutions across IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Customer Service Management (CSM), HR Service Delivery (HRSD), and other modules.
Define technical standards, governance, and best practices for ServiceNow implementations.
Create scalable, high-performance solutions leveraging ServiceNow capabilities.
Implementation & Development
Oversee end-to-end development, including workflows, integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server), UI customization, and automation.
Ensure solutions adhere to security, compliance, and performance standards.
Mentor developers and administrators on coding standards and platform best practices.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work with business leaders, IT teams, and vendors to gather requirements and align solutions with organizational goals.
Present architecture proposals and demos to executive stakeholders.
Platform Optimization
Conduct platform health assessments, performance tuning, and upgrade planning.
Identify opportunities for process automation and AI/ML integration (e.g., Predictive Intelligence, Virtual Agent).
Integration & Innovation
Design integrations with third-party tools (e.g., Azure, AWS, SAP, Workday).
Explore emerging ServiceNow capabilities (e.g., Now Assist, AI Search, Mobile App Engine).
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD) required.
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) or Certified Master Architect (CMA) preferred.
Experience:
8+ years in ServiceNow development/administration, with 3+ years in an architectural role.
Hands-on experience with ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, SPM, or GRC/IRM.
Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide, Angular, and ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, Client Scripts).
Strong knowledge of integration methods (REST, SOAP, LDAP, SSO).
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering business value.
Ability to manage multiple projects in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Certifications
ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
ITIL v3/v4 Foundation or higher
Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure)
