Mobile Application Web Developer

Contract-to-Hire Role

100% Remote

Our academic healthcare client located in Texas is looking for an experienced Mobile Application Web Developer to design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications (iOS/Android) and responsive web apps to support educational programs and integrate apps with institutional systems (e.g., LMS, SIS, assessment platforms) using APIs and databases (SQL, Oracle). This is a contract-to hire opportunity that is 100% remote.

JOB DUTIES:

• Defines complete operation workflow and documents customer business requirements for computer solutions.
• Analyzes business and/or scientific problems of most complex type with ability to develop computer solutions either through modification of existing systems or development of new systems.
• Designs computer system to accomplish solution of each problem, integrating computer capabilities with user requirements.
• Reanalyzes computer programming problems from original design and makes modifications, as necessary.
• Selects or modifies existing computer programs or applicable program systems and structures data formats for solution of problems.
• Implements or leads implementation of systems or job streams.
• Assists in estimating required project resources.
• Provides technical advice and guidance to other computer professionals for solution of work problems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of professional experience in mobile app development.
• Mastery of cross-platform mobile development, demonstrating advanced skills across several key frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter, Xamarin, Maui) and languages (JavaScript/TypeScript, Dart, C#).
• Strong portfolio of successfully launched applications on both the App Store and Google Play Store, demonstrating cross-platform development expertise.
• Expertise in mobile UI/UX and implementing platform-specific designs in cross-platform apps.
• Extensive experience developing and connecting to REST APIs and handling complex app data.
• Solid understanding and practical use of state management for cross-platform development (e.g., Redux, BLoC, Provider).
• Experience in developing and integrating native features when needed and managing cross-platform app building and release (including CI/CD).
• Strong skills in testing cross-platform apps and optimizing their performance.
• Proficiency in databases and analytic tools (e.g., SQL, Oracle, PowerBI)
• Proficiency in front-end web development using HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue).
• Experience building responsive, accessible web applications aligned with cross-platform design principles.
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and debugging skills across both iOS and Android environments.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior developers.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Familiarity with backend services and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Firebase) and mobile analytics.
• Knowledge of mobile app accessibility and different app structures (e.g., MVVM).
• Experience with automated testing, data visualization, and implementing location-based features (geofencing)
