IT Field Services Technician (Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite Required)
We are seeking an experienced Field Services Technician to serve as a technical lead within our IT Field Services team. This hybrid role requires three days onsite each week and is responsible for overseeing hardware, software, and network support across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on expertise, guide junior technicians, and ensure timely issue resolution to keep business operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
Serve as a lead to IT Field Services Technicians, offering guidance, training, and daily support to maintain high service standards.
Coordinate installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, peripherals, and network equipment across various sites.
Develop and refine SOPs for IT infrastructure deployment and maintenance, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and best practices.
Collaborate with IT leadership and cross-functional teams to assess needs and support strategic initiatives.
Maintain and manage IT asset inventory, including accurate tracking and reporting of hardware and software resources.
Provide expert-level support for complex hardware, software, and networking issues.
Monitor system performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maximize uptime.
Support IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
Act as a main point of contact for vendors and external service providers; support contract management and service coordination.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute recommendations for enhancing service delivery.
Log incidents and problem tickets in ServiceNow and maintain consistent updates.
Partner with other technical teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
Deliver outstanding customer service while adhering to ITIL best practices.
Maintain clean, organized server rooms and technical workspaces.
Respond promptly to network, server, and application outages.
Requirements
High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
4+ years of relevant IT field services experience.
Preferred certifications: ITIL (v3 or v4), CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
Experience with PowerShell scripting and basic automation.
Familiarity with ServiceNow and ITSM processes.
Strong knowledge of desktop hardware, Windows/Mac OS, and productivity applications.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and maintain attention to detail.
