Role overview
• Develops, reviews and finalizes critical HVAC and Plumbing related project deliverables like design criteria, design basis, air flow diagram for duct systems, HVAC load calculations, Humidification load calculations, Ventilation calculations, Building envelope leakage calculations, HVAC equipment sizing calculations using HVAC design software tools like TRACE 700, Preliminary indicative duct sizing calculations, Duct routing layout and its coordination in 3D Model, equipment Data sheets, project specifications for equipment and/or components, Service Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluations, System Descriptions, Contract Package Scope Definitions, any other Study/Report required during project execution activities for HVAC packages in Mechanical Engineering discipline.
• Conducts reviews of vendor drawings, calculations, and other documentation.
• Reviews and checks work of subordinate engineers.
• Communicates complex technical issues and recommends solutions to project management.
• Facilitates technical discussions with third parties (client, suppliers, regulators).

Qualifications
• Applicant must have BSME or equivalent degree.
• At least 8 years of HVAC/Plumbing experience in the EPC industry related to the Oil, Gas and Chemical Industry.
• Must be proficient with HVAC & plumbing calculations, engineering / design, and creating specifications.
• Broad working knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, International Building codes, API 500, Lab design codes / requirements, and other industrial HVAC standards.
• A professional license in an appropriate engineering or scientific discipline, from a recognized licensing board preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of discipline engineering techniques, the design of engineered systems, and engineering and design calculations.
• Broad knowledge of the application of Engineering to plant constructability as applied to construction methods and materials.
• Understanding of the roles played by other departments on projects including basic construction practices.
• Understanding of Engineering planning and control methods.
• Able to work with minimal direct supervision of day-to-day tasks to meet project goals for cost and schedule.
• Skilled in oral and written communication. Able to work in project groups with shared-work teams globally, to progress project designs.
