Role: Digital Media Engineer (Crestron/Biamp)
Location: On-site 100% in Stockton, CA
Duration: 6-month contract (with potential extension or conversion)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Digital Media Engineer to support and enhance our AV infrastructure, which is heavily reliant on Crestron control systems and Biamp DSPs. This hands-on role involves programming, troubleshooting, system refreshes, and project-based AV deployments in a collaborative campus environment.
Key Responsibilities
Program, configure, and maintain Crestron-based AV systems
Modify and push code to support ongoing AV infrastructure upgrades
Program and troubleshoot Biamp DSPs in complex AV environments
Provide advanced support for AV systems including system design, installation, integration, and optimization
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to plan and execute AV projects
Produce detailed documentation including wiring schematics, control system logic, and user guides
Conduct user and admin-level training for AV technologies
Participate in AV system evaluations, post-mortems, and continuous improvement processes
Required Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on audiovisual commercial integration experience (installer, design engineer, programmer, or systems engineer)
3+ years of control system programming experience, specifically with Crestron
3+ years of AV design and system integration experience
Hands-on experience programming and supporting Biamp DSPs
Experience in AV project coordination and stakeholder communication
Valid driver's license and ability to meet driving requirements
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and system analysis skills
Preferred Qualifications
Crestron Programmer Certification
Biamp DSP Certification
CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) by Infocomm
Bachelor s Degree in IT, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Experience with AV server infrastructure, AV-over-IP, and virtualized environments
Understanding of electrical principles (Ohm s Law, Power Law, etc.)
Familiarity with structural/MEP plans and technical scopes of work
