Job Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking a Business Analyst to support our Network Operations department. This role involves data collection and validation to produce billing quality data. The SMDO works closely with internal clients to provide data analysis to resolve meter data errors and anomalies that impact the revenue cycle. Daily tasks include data analysis and investigations, field liaison support, systems statistics, and status reporting while strictly following existing processes and operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate within various specific computer applications to obtain accurate and timely interval, time-of-use, and total consumption meter data for billing purposes.
  • Independently respond to various internal client inquiries.
  • Investigate, analyze, and research high-profile accounts to ensure quality data and summary analysis information is provided to internal customers.
  • Review and analyze interval data consumption during demand response events and other special projects/programs.
  • Provide departmental support during testing efforts for special projects.
  • Perform ad-hoc querying and data mining.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel comprehensively for data analysis and reporting.

Qualifications:
  • Strong technical abilities, including experience with ad-hoc querying and data mining.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with specific computer applications is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and respond to internal client inquiries effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow existing processes and operating procedures.
