Description
In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Systems Operations Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Systems Operations Engineering deliverables. Review and analyze moderately complex Systems Operations Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Systems Operations Engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
This role is a systems operations engineer (production support operations) for the Enterprise Messaging Backbone/Email Security team at Wells Fargo. The primary role of this position is to provide day-to-day 3rd level support of systems and services in for the Enterprise Messaging SMTP Backbone and Email Security apps that handle the inbound/outbound routing of all email to/from the bank. This person will support the back end systems, making sure they are up and running. The primary job is to ensure availability of a large on-premise production environment through proactive monitoring and fast response and resolution to any issues. As part of a 24x7x365 global support team.
In this role you will:
- Test and implement changes using enterprise change management processes.
- Interact and communicate frequently within own team and with other teams (Messaging Backbone Engineering, Messaging Client Services, Networking, DNS, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Email Security, Exchange, Firewall).
- Determine the root cause of identified issues
- Design, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for moderately complex solutions related to email and endpoint security.
-Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- May involve OT/ on call support ( doing health checks when needed )
Experience with monitoring, observability, and reporting tools (Nagios, Thousand Eyes, bash scripts, Grafana).
Experience with implementing TLS (opportunistic and enforced) SPF, DKIM signing, and DMARC authentication methods to improve reputational security.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of technology support: event analytics and incident handling
Knowledge and understanding of technology monitoring applications to ensure 24x7 uptime
Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision and follow specific guidelines
Knowledge and understanding of Service Now, Agile Kanban and Jira
Ability to follow corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Experience working for a financial institution

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $52.00/hr.
