Job Title: DC Support Senior Engineer
Location: Wichita, KS (Onsite)
Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Center Support Senior Engineer to provide on-site "hands and feet" support in Wichita, KS. This role involves working directly inside the data center to install, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, network devices, and other hardware. The engineer will collaborate with remote L1/L2/L3 teams and vendors to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform hardware installation, decommissioning, and cable management (rack & stack).

  • Troubleshoot server/network issues; replace faulty components.

  • Support maintenance windows (weekdays, weekends, after-hours emergencies).

  • Coordinate with OEM vendors for repairs and part replacements.

  • Manage data center inventory, documentation, and equipment tracking.

  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, and operational standards in the data center.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s in Engineering/IT or equivalent technical training.

  • 6+ years of experience in Data Center/IT Support roles.

  • Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking basics, and DC operations.

  • Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and ability to work independently/on teams.

  • Flexible to work weekends/holidays/emergencies.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Networking or IT certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+/A+, vendor-specific).

  • Familiarity with data center best practices.
