Aspire IT Solutions is in a need of -

Job Title: Data Scientist

Location: Washington, D.C. (Onsite - 4Days/week)

Duration: 6 months contract

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis & Integration

  • Analyze structured (Databricks SQL Warehouse) and unstructured data (SharePoint Online documents).
  • Design and implement data extraction and integration methods across both data types.

2. Data Enrichment & Processing

  • Extract text, standardize metadata, and apply semantic enrichment to raw datasets.
  • Build a scalable enrichment layer to support downstream AI/ML applications.

3. Embedding & NLP Pipeline Development

  • Design and automate ETL/ELT pipelines for embedding data into Vertex AI.
  • Apply Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques for AI-readiness.

4. Collaboration & Documentation

  • Produce clear technical documentation for pipelines and data processes.
  • Work closely with AI/ML teams to align enriched datasets with project goals.

Required Skills & Experience:

Education:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience OR Master's degree in a related discipline

Technical Expertise:

  • Hands-on experience in data engineering and enrichment (structured & unstructured data)
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), especially Vertex AI
  • Proficiency in NLP and modern data processing frameworks

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
