Overview:
VAST is committed to leveraging data to drive strategic decisions and improve business outcomes. We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Manager, Data Analytics to lead our sales analytics function. This critical role will be responsible for transforming raw sales data into actionable insights, driving data informed decision-making, and directly impacting the effectiveness and efficiency of our Sales organization. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise in data analysis, a deep understanding of sales processes, and proven leadership skills. This is a player/coach position. In the near-term, the Manager, Data Analytics will roll up their sleeves, working hands-on to build analytics and dashboard visualizations that deliver actionable insights. The Manager will also then work to build the capabilities of the analytics organization over time including mentoring other analysts supporting the analytics roadmap.
As Manager, Data Analytics, this position will play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights. The role will be responsible for analyzing data and creating visually compelling dashboards in Tableau. The Manager, Data Analytics will lead large, complex analytics and reporting projects, delivering accurate, accessible, and repeatable business reporting and insights to stakeholders across all levels. We are seeking an individual who can tell stories with data and deliver actionable recommendations that our stakeholders regularly use to make change within their organizations. We are seeking an individual with strong Tableau visualization experience. The candidate should have a strong understanding of sales metrics, KPIs, and sales processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Vision: Define and execute the sales analytics roadmap, aligning with overall sales objectives and company strategy. Leverage analytical resources from across the team to accelerate the roadmap.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of sales dashboards and reports in Tableau. Leverage various data sources to conduct in-depth analyses.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with leadership in sales, revenue operations, marketing, and finance to understand their analytical needs and deliver highly credible analytics that change behaviors and improve performance outcomes.
- Insights: Delivers analytics that answer key business questions and deliver actionable insights that create value and improve business outcomes. Deliver clear, concise, and compelling narratives for sales leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Data Management: Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all sales reporting and analysis. Works with Revenue Operations to improve the integrity of our Sales data.
- Support & Enablement: Act as a primary support resource for sales teams for all help requests related to data and analytics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science or other related quantitative field
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics with at least 2+ years in leadership or management role, with a focus on sales analytics
- Proven expertise in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Expert in Tableau for dashboard creation and data visualization
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
- Strong understanding of sales metrics, KPIs, and sales processes (e.g., lead-to-opportunity, pipeline management, sales funnel analysis)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Travel: Minimal travel required (approximately 10% or less annually)
