ECS is seeking a User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) Developer to work remotely . Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

This UI/UX Developer role is full-time supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information Technology (OIT) Veteran Experience Services Eligibility and Enrollment (VESEE) Product Line. This role supports modernization of Eligibility and Enrollment to build a seamless experience for Veterans, their families, and caregivers and contributes to improving VA employee and Veteran lives and working towards a larger mission. The UI/UX Developer will provide support and thought leadership to OIT and business stakeholders to design a modernized enrollment system that supports this seamless experience.

This role will serve as a UI/UX advisor:
  • Conduct in-depth user experience research using both qualitative (e.g., user interviews, usability testing) and quantitative (e.g., surveys, analytics) methodologies to gather actionable insights to inform the development and execution of user feedback integration that align with OIT organizational goals, web goals, and project timelines.
  • Utilize deep understanding and knowledge of UX to analyze, interpret, and visualize user behavior data from various sources, and synthesize findings in actionable recommendations to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Support branding and brand strategy initiatives by ensuring UX design aligns with overall VA brand identity and user needs.
  • Facilitate collaboration between cross-functional teams, OIT leadership, and VESEE stakeholders to foster innovation and ensure UX research findings are effectively implemented into designs.
  • Identify and propose emerging methodologies and technologies that could enhance the product line's progress.
  • Participate in technical discussions and presentations, contributing your expertise to the organization's overall knowledge base.
  • Build strong relationships with product line team members and stakeholders.
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and problem-solving exercises to drive the program forward.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000
