Role Description:

The seeking an experienced Business Analyst 4 to support system development efforts across various business units. The selected candidate will perform requirements analysis, business process documentation, and application testing in a hybrid work environment.

This role requires a high level of collaboration with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical staff to define, document, and validate system requirements in support of web application development and enhancements.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct project initiation activities to identify problems and define project objectives.
  • Gather, analyze, and document detailed business and system requirements in alignment with agency standards.
  • Develop SDLC-compliant Requirements Definition documents.
  • Facilitate and participate in Agile Scrum meetings, representing business needs and ensuring clear communication of requirements to development teams.
  • Define and document new and existing business processes, including mapping to system functionalities.
  • Write and execute detailed system test plans and scripts to ensure business requirements are met.
  • Perform manual testing of web-based applications; identify and document bugs or application insufficiencies with appropriate detail for developer resolution.
  • Support development of user testing scripts and assist with User Acceptance Testing.
  • Attend and document meetings, capturing key project decisions.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of documentation processes and templates as directed.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in business and systems analysis, requirements documentation, SDLC, and Agile application development methodologies.
  • Proven ability to define and document user requirements from multiple sources, and translate them into clear technical and functional documentation.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience supporting application development, maintenance, systems analysis and design, and business process improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience defining and documenting business processes and mapping them to new system solutions.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience testing complex systems to verify alignment with business needs.
  • Ability to write and execute test plans and scripts according to defined standards.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience conducting meetings and documenting outcomes and decisions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience working on web application development projects using .NET technologies.
  • Familiarity with documenting requirements using Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS).

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Beacon Systems Inc depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, BeaconGov provides reasonable range of compensation for this role.
