Job Details

We're in search of an experienced Project Manager with expertise in Instrumentation and Electrical Controls for our Dallas, TX operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring our projects are financially successful while meeting client expectations. As a Project Manager, you'll collaborate closely with clients, production teams, field technicians, and other contractors.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Thoroughly review project proposals, cost estimates, quotes, contract drawings, specifications, and addendums
  • Collaborate with estimators on project discussions
  • Select equipment to meet project requirements and optimize project margins
  • Ensure project requirements, expectations, and deadlines are met
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients and vendors
  • Lead panel and/or system design efforts
  • Create electrical schematics, panel layout drawings, communication drawings, loop drawings, and other relevant drawings
  • Prepare all project submittals, including equipment schedules, drawings, I/O lists, test reports, O&M manuals, etc.
  • Coordinate equipment orders with the purchasing department
  • Work closely with production managers, team leads, and assembly technicians to ensure panels are constructed as needed
  • Collaborate with field technicians to ensure efficient installation, commissioning, and startup activities
  • Attend site visits for meetings, review of work performed, and assistance in startup/installation
  • Complete project documentation, review final billing and ensure all change orders and costs are accurately invoiced
  • Handle additional tasks, assignments, duties, or projects as assigned by management

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in electrical controls, instrumentation, and panel design
  • Ability to follow specifications, contract drawings, budgets, and schedules
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting control schematics
  • Ability to work on project sites and adhere to safety policies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer service
  • Proactive and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects, large workloads, and deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude
  • A degree in Engineering is a plus
  • Industry background in Industrial automation or electrical/electronic manufacturing is preferred
