In this role, you will consult on complex, large-scale software engineering initiatives, with a focus on ServiceNow development and integration. About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ServiceNow Software Engineer to join our team on a contingent basis. In this role, you will consult on complex, large-scale software engineering initiatives, with a focus on ServiceNow development and integration. You will collaborate strategically with client stakeholders to analyze and resolve multifaceted technical challenges, ensuring solutions align with organizational policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and contribute to high-impact software engineering projects involving ServiceNow and distributed technologies.
- Analyze and resolve complex engineering challenges, including unprecedented or intangible factors.
- Provide strategic consultation and technical guidance to client personnel.
- Design, develop, and optimize ServiceNow applications and integrations.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports within ServiceNow.
- Apply query optimization techniques to enhance system performance.
- Develop scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring, and Python.
- Ensure UI frameworks are implemented effectively for seamless user experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
- Advanced proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow APIs (e.g., GlideRecord, GlideForm).
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow reporting, dashboards, and integration capabilities.
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering, including application development using Java and distributed technologies (on-premises and cloud).
- Expertise in Java/JEE, Spring framework, RESTful web services, Python, and UI frameworks.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in consulting or working on large-scale enterprise software projects.
- Military experience or formal training in software engineering is a plus.
