Job Title: Software Engineer (Java / Microservices / CI/CD)
Location: Hybrid (3 days on site 2 days remote) Dallas, TX
Employment Type: W2 Contract

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Software Engineer, playing a critical role in the development and evolution of our CI/CD pipeline and core backend services. You'll work with modern technologies, contribute to a dynamic DevOps environment, and help build scalable, high-performing applications that support our business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, enhance, and support integration with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Build scalable microservices with Spring Boot and Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, ensuring adherence to best practices and performance standards.
  • Support production systems through regular maintenance, patching, and upgrades.
  • Implement Kafka-based messaging solutions to ensure efficient and reliable data flow.
  • Perform vulnerability scans, assessments, and timely remediation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software in an Agile/SAFe environment.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of hands-on software development experience.
  • Proficient in Java (Spring Boot), with additional experience in Python and JavaScript.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful API architecture and development.
  • Experience working with Kafka and microservice-based architectures.
  • Solid understanding of Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with application monitoring and alerting tools, especially Dynatrace.
  • Exposure to DevOps and platform engineering tools: Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Docker, Red Hat OpenShift (OCP).
  • Understanding of telecommunications and VoIP technologies.
  • Working knowledge of SIP (Session Initiation Protocol).
  • Experience in Agile/SAFe frameworks.
