Job Description

We are looking for a POS Product Engineer to manage the implementation of Point of Sale (POS) systems within the hospitality sector, specifically tailored for environments in F&B IT such as restaurants, dining establishments, and cruise lines. This position will be a contract and onsite in Miramar, Florida, with international travel (40%).

Due to the specific legal and contractual requirements associated with this position, candidates must be able to work directly on CAI's W2. This p osition does not offer work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.

What You'll Do
  • Oversee the entire POS implementation process from start to finish
  • Ensure successful deployment and system integration with other existing operational platforms such as loyalty and other Food & Beverage applications
  • Set up and configure POS hardware and software, including security, networks, VLANs, servers, desktops, terminals, and peripherals
  • Define and set up business rules and configurations specific to the organization's operational needs
  • Work closely with other IT team members and departments to ensure seamless integration and operation of POS systems within the broader IT infrastructure
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, changes, and support activities
  • Train end-users on the proper use of POS systems and provide ongoing support as needed
  • Provide day-to-day technical support as needed for POS systems, addressing issues related to software, hardware, and network connectivity
  • Perform regular maintenance, updates, and upgrades to ensure the POS systems are running efficiently and securely
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with POS systems, including software bugs, hardware malfunctions, and network problems


What You'll Need

Required:
  • Proven track record of managing full POS system implementations
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with major POS systems like MICROS, NCR, Agilisys, and Infogenesis
  • Experience with Windows Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Strong understanding of hospitality and restaurant operations, with a focus on technology integration
  • Experience with inventory applications and operational efficiency tools
  • Excellent communication abilities to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing environments
  • Valid travel document and willingness to travel internationally approximately 40% of the time, primarily to France


Preferred:
  • Familiarity with Agilisys is a nice to have
  • Flexibility to work in different time zones and adapt to varying project schedules is essential.

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor


The pay range for this position is $53.00-$58.00 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave as provided by applicable law.
