Shift: M-F / 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Job Description: Technical Writer (Temporary Position)
Description:
The Technical Writer will support the engineering team in the creation, revision, and organization of technical documentation.
This temporary position plays a key role in ensuring that engineering outputs are clearly communicated, well-documented, and accessible to internal and external stakeholders.
The role involves close collaboration with engineers, product managers, and service teams to produce high-quality documentation that supports product development, manufacturing, and customer use.
Primary and secondary responsibilities will include:
Creating and editing technical documents including manuals, specifications, procedures, and reports.
Collaborating with engineering staff to gather source material and clarify technical details.
Organizing and maintaining document templates and version control.
Translating complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.
Assisting in the development of visual aids such as diagrams, charts, and schematics.
Ensuring documentation complies with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Supporting product design reviews and contributing to documentation planning.
Managing documentation timelines to align with project milestones.
A candidate must have:
Associate degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, or a related field, or 5+ years of experience in a technical writing or similarly technical role.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and documentation tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, Visio).
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
A top candidate will have:
Experience working with engineering teams and understanding technical drawings.
Familiarity with CAD software and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.
Knowledge of CE standards and regulatory documentation practices.
Experience creating documentation for CNC machinery or precision equipment.
