Job Description:

Software Developer Engineer in Test Gen Data Mart

Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Developer in Test to join our team working on the Gen Data Mart project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation, with specific experience in backend data validation and BI related application and will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior leads and other team members to implement effective testing strategies and contribute to continuous improvement in our testing processes.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for the main workflow, using industry-standard tools and frameworks.

Utilize standard test automation tools and technologies relevant to the tech stack - this will include but not limited to .net, backend postgres DB, PowerBI, and cloud services such as EC2s, S3s, Lambdas etc.

Work closely with senior leads and other team members to understand test requirements and create comprehensive test plans. Incorporate best practices in test automation deliverables.

Collaborate with developers and business analysts to ensure thorough understanding of requirements, leading to effective test case creation.

Execute automated and manual test cases as needed, logging and tracking defects through to resolution.

Ensure that automated tests are integrated into the CI/CD pipeline, providing timely feedback on application quality.

Create detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results.

Provide clear and concise test reports and metrics to stakeholders, highlighting testing progress, quality status, and defect trends.

Mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

Identify, document, and track defects in a detailed and organized manner.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Strong understanding of testing methodologies, frameworks, and industry best practices.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Detail-oriented with a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.
