Job Description
Gridiron IT is looking for a remote Azure SME to support a 6-12 month project.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary expert on Azure cloud services, architecture, and capabilities.

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective Azure solutions.

  • Evaluate existing cloud infrastructure and provide recommendations for optimization.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to migrate workloads and applications to Azure.

  • Establish and enforce Azure governance, security policies, and compliance standards.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot Azure environments, ensuring high availability and performance.

  • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and mentor technical teams on Azure tools and services.

  • Stay current with Microsoft Azure updates, emerging cloud technologies, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Azure SME, Cloud Architect, or similar role.

  • Strong understanding of Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Active Directory, Azure Networking, Virtual Machines, App Services, Azure Storage, and Azure DevOps.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud migrations and hybrid cloud solutions.

  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.

  • Knowledge of cloud security principles, identity management, and cost optimization.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or related certifications.

  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).

  • Familiarity with PowerShell or Azure CLI scripting.

  • Experience supporting federal or enterprise-scale environments.

Clearance

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $140,000 - $190,000/yr (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
