Job Description
Gridiron IT is looking for a remote Azure SME to support a 6-12 month project.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary expert on Azure cloud services, architecture, and capabilities.
Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective Azure solutions.
Evaluate existing cloud infrastructure and provide recommendations for optimization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to migrate workloads and applications to Azure.
Establish and enforce Azure governance, security policies, and compliance standards.
Monitor and troubleshoot Azure environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and mentor technical teams on Azure tools and services.
Stay current with Microsoft Azure updates, emerging cloud technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
Proven experience as an Azure SME, Cloud Architect, or similar role.
Strong understanding of Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Active Directory, Azure Networking, Virtual Machines, App Services, Azure Storage, and Azure DevOps.
Hands-on experience with cloud migrations and hybrid cloud solutions.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
Knowledge of cloud security principles, identity management, and cost optimization.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or related certifications.
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).
Familiarity with PowerShell or Azure CLI scripting.
Experience supporting federal or enterprise-scale environments.
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. USPS Public Trust.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $140,000 - $190,000/yr (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
