Job Details
Job Title: Sr. Juniper Engineer
Location: Hybrid - Would need to be on site for the first 2 weeks and then 1 day a week San Diego, CA
Duration: 12 Months Contract to hire
Note:
This is mainly Juniper. Cisco is for Decommissioning. Need a really strong Engineer as long as they understand the other items.

Gaming Background and credit Check
Technical Skills
- Juniper QFX/EX switches
- Deep understanding of Junos OS, Virtual Chassis
- Understanding and experience with Juniper Mist managed switches
- Juniper Mist template creation and variables
- Cisco Nexus 7000 and Catalyst series switches
- Understanding and knowledge of their configurations
- Strong understanding of PVST and interop with other vendors
- Cisco to Juniper migration
- Experience mapping Cisco configurations (e.g., trunking, port-channels, routing) to Juniper configuration being managed by Mist dashboard
- Understanding of interop of Spanning Tree protocols between Cisco / Juniper
- Mist Cloud Management & Juniper Mist switches
- Experience onboarding and managing EX/QFX via Mist
- Basic AI-driven operations understanding (Marvis insights, Wired Assurance)
Soft Skills
Strong documentation habits (Visio, Lucid, Markdown, Git)
Customer-facing communication and requirement gathering
Certifications (Optional)
Juniper: JNCIP-ENT, JNCIE-ENT, JNCIA-Mist
Cisco: CCNP Enterprise, CCIE R&S or Enterprise Infrastructure
