Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Electrical Validation Engineer with strong expertise in executing electrical validation on the bench. Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMM, e-load, power supply, power analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, and thermal chamber for consumer electronics industry. Your work will directly contribute to advancing the capabilities and quality of cutting-edge wearable and augmented reality products.

You will be a key contributor to system-level validation efforts for optics across emerging wearable technologies. Your responsibilities will include designing and executing tests, analyzing data, and conducting both objective and subjective evaluations of electrical hardware components of the wearable devices. Additionally, you will provide expert hand-on support for system and user-level characterization and calibration, as well as occasional manufacturing test support at partner sites.

What You will Do:

  • Define, review, and execute test plans on components and systems to validate hardware functionality.
  • Create detailed test plans, including automation of test cases, and execute these plans on available components.
  • Validation coverage includes SoC, low speed signal interface (I2C, I2S, PDM...etc), I/O signals, high speed differential interface, electrical performance of subsystems such as optical sensors, microphones, cameras, battery, charger, and RF
  • Includes hardware validation, debug, error injection.
  • Work cross-functionally with teams such as system validation, system design, firmware.
  • Produce test reports, error analysis, and validation documentation.
  • Own parts of cross-functional projects related to validation and testing.
  • Provide status updates, contribute to meetings, and communicate technical challenges to stakeholders.

What You Will Bring:

  • Graduate/Post Graduate in Electrical Engineering
  • Should have 3-5 years industry experience in EE related tasks
  • Experience executing electrical validation on the bench. Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMM, e-load, power supply, power analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, and temperature chamber
  • Understanding of board schematics and board layout, finding proper probe locations and identify potential points of failure in the DUT
  • This role is considered an immediate on-site position located in Sunnyvale, CA
  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
